Ma-La Tang 麻辣湯 (Spicy Soup)

Recipe for authentic Chinese spicy Ma-La Tang soup bursting with savory Szechuan pepper flavor, miso, sesame, with rich tonkotsu goodness.

Ingredients

  • Spicy Sesame Sauce Ma-Ra
  • #1 Tonkotsu Ramen Soup Base
  • Ultra Spicy Sauce (Optional)

Cooking Direction

  1. In a bowl, combine the following ingredients to make the soup base:
    ・54g (1.5 oz) of #1 Tonkotsu Ramen Soup Base
    ・25g Spicy Sesame Sauce “Ma-Ra”
    ・12 oz hot water or soup stock
  2. Stir well until everything is fully mixed pour into a pot.
  3. In a pot, add meats, shrimp, vegetables, fishcakes, and noodles, and heat until cooked.
  4. Top with the chopped green onions.
  5. Add 1-2 table spoons of Ultra Spicy Sauce for extra spiciness.
